HIS BEAUTIFUL PRESENCE
When Heaven Draws Near
“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." (Exodus 33:14 KJV)
“And he answered, 'My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.'" (Exodus 33:14 TPT)
Come close, beloved, for I want to share something precious about our Father's beautiful presence. Oh, how His heart yearns to draw near to His children in their moments of need! Just as He met Moses in that difficult hour after Israel's great failure, He longs to meet you in your challenging seasons.
Think of Moses – standing there with a broken heart over his people's sin, possibly feeling disillusioned and uncertain. Yet in that moment of despair, the Lord's glorious presence drew near, bringing divine guidance and supernatural peace. This wasn't just a historical moment, dear friend – it's a pattern of how our loving Father responds to His children's needs.
His presence brings something that nothing else can provide – a peace that transcends all understanding, a rest that goes deeper than mere physical relaxation. If we truly understood how valuable His presence is, we would cultivate it like a master gardener tends his most precious flowers. We would create space for His nearness, seeking Him with passionate hearts.
Perhaps you're in a hard place right now. Maybe you're standing at a crossroads, uncertain of which path to take. Can you hear His footsteps drawing near? Can you sense His loving embrace surrounding you? Listen closely, beloved – He's releasing promises over your life, declaring that you will never walk alone and that His presence will accompany you to the ends of the earth.
The Lord doesn't want to be treated as a distant deity, light-years removed from our daily lives. He longs to be welcomed as an intimate friend, a trusted confidant who stands so close we can feel His breath. When we pray with hearts wide open, His manifest presence often draws so near it feels as if we could reach out and touch the hem of His garment.
Come, dear friend, don't let Him pass by! Invite Him to stay, sit with you, and share His heart with yours. For He is a gentleman who won't force His presence where it's not wanted – but oh, how He loves to be wanted! How He delights in being appreciated! When we pursue Him with passionate hearts, He comes running to meet us.
For indeed, beloved, in His presence is everything you need – peace for your troubled heart, wisdom for your decisions, comfort for your pain. He's standing at the door of your heart right now, His hand upon the latch. Can you hear Him knocking? Will you invite Him to come and stay?
The sacred invitation stands before you – to cultivate His presence, create space for His nearness, and develop such intimacy that you recognize His footsteps before you see His face. When we make room for His presence, something beautiful happens – heaven touches earth, and supernatural rest floods our souls.
Rise up today, precious one! Seek Him while He may be found. The same presence that guided Moses that parted seas and moved mountains, awaits your invitation. He's drawing near even now, bringing answers, peace, and a rest that goes beyond human understanding.
Let your heart cry out, "Come, Lord! Your presence is all I need!" When we learn to host His presence, we discover the secret of supernatural peace – not the absence of troubles, but the presence of the One who holds all things in His loving hands. Dive deep.
With Love,
Steve Porter
