LAUNCH OUT, BELOVED
A Holy Call to Trust God With Your Gift
Good morning to you! Thank you for joining me for a special devotion I believe will deeply touch your heart. Sometimes I can feel the Lord is dealing with my heart. It isn’t dramatic. It’s more like a steady sense that I need to take a faith step. I don’t move because I feel strong or sure of myself. I move because I trust Him. When the Holy Spirit begins to stir something in us, we often question why God would even use us. We notice our weak spots. We see the areas that still need work. We compare ourselves with others and convince ourselves that we’re not ready. And before long, we talk ourselves out of the very thing God put inside us. It’s amazing how quickly we can dismiss the very thing God wants to breathe on. Sometimes the loudest resistance isn’t coming from the outside world—it’s coming from the small voice inside that says, “You don’t have what it takes.” But that voice has never belonged to the Father. His voice calls. It lifts. It restores. It never shames. If the enemy can convince you that your gift is not good enough, then he’s already robbed you of the courage to even try. He knows you are a threat and he hates you. He wants to stop your surrender and willingness to step out. And maybe that’s you. You’ve carried dreams quietly. You’ve prayed in secret. You’ve imagined stepping out… only to shrink back because the doubts felt louder than your faith. Yet the Lord has not forgotten what He placed inside you. There is a moment—a holy moment—when hiding no longer feels right. Something begins to stir. Something rises. Something whispers, “Go a little deeper.” That whisper is for you, dear one. Launch out. Not because you feel strong… but because God is with you. Not because you know everything… but because He never asked you to be perfect. He only asked for a willing heart. “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me…” —Isaiah 61:1 (NLT) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” —2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT) The Lord doesn’t compare you with others. He looks at you with joy. He sees the beauty He placed in you—the part of His heart you carry into the world. You may think your voice is small. But someone needs to hear it. You may feel your story is too broken. But someone else will find hope in it. You may see your gift as ordinary. But God can use what seems ordinary to change a life. Think about this: The message you feel unsure about may be the very one someone prays for tonight. The prayer you almost didn’t pray may lift a weary soul. The simple act of obedience you keep putting off may open a door for someone else’s healing. God works through availability, not applause. He works through humility, not hype. He works through ordinary people who dare to say, “Lord, here is what I have… take it.” “We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” —Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) Beloved, there is room for you. There is purpose for you. There is an anointing resting on your life, even if you don’t always feel it. Step forward. Offer your gift. Let God shape what happens next. “Dear Jesus, I yield what You’ve placed inside me. I choose to lay down comparison, fear, and the heavy weight of self-doubt. I want to walk in what You’ve prepared. Give me courage to step out, grace to keep going, and faith to believe that You can use my offering for Your glory. My life is Yours. Lead me into the deep.” Launch out, dear one. Launch out. Someone needs what you carry. The time is now! With Love, Steve Porter Would you enjoy our daily devotion straight to your email? Never miss a devotion again. The algorithm often hides our posts.
