NEVER AN AFTERTHOUGHT
Walking in His Presence
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)
Picture a child walking on a stormy beach, waves crashing all around. In an instant, the father scoops up his little one, holding them close against the wind and spray. This is your Father - not distant, not distracted, but ever-present, ever-watchful, ready to lift you when storms rage.
How often do we feel like everyone else stands in line ahead of us? God must be too busy with more important matters. Yet here stands His promise, thundering through time: "Be strong and courageous." This isn't a mere suggestion or gentle advice - it's a command backed by the most powerful promise: "I will be with you."
You see, He doesn't command courage without cause. He calls you to be strong because His strength already resides within you. He calls you to take heart because He holds your heart in His hands. You are never an afterthought in His mind, never forgotten in His plans, never overlooked in His care.
When weakness overwhelms you, uncertainty clouds your path, and you feel you cannot take another step, open your spiritual eyes. See how He has already lifted you into His arms. Feel how close you are to His heart. Hear His whispered assurance: "I have you."
The Master doesn't just walk beside you—He carries you. Through valleys dark as midnight, through storms fierce as thunder, through seasons that test your very faith, you are held secure. The Father supports you, the Spirit guides you, and Jesus walks with you through every step.
Rise up with fresh courage! Not because you are strong but because He is strong in you. Not because you can see the way clearly but because He sees the end from the beginning. Let this truth sink deep into your spirit - you are never alone, never abandoned, never left to face life's battles in your own strength.
For indeed, He commands your courage because He guarantees His presence. Will you trust Him today? When we truly grasp that we are never an afterthought to God, fear must bow to faith, and discouragement must yield to His divine encouragement.
With Love,
Steve Porter

Thank you for praying for my eyes! I received glasses yesterday that corrected them. Whereas the doctor thought my eye issue was from an inflammatory condition, God corrected them with new glasses! He is so, so good! God still raises the dead and heals broken minds and bodies!! I love Him so!!
“I will be with you “what a powerful promise for today!
Thank you 🙏🏼
