REACHING THROUGH THE CROWD
A Clarion Call to the Desperate Heart
“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” —Mark 5:34 (NKJV) Dear friend, can I speak to the desperate this morning? To the one who has suffered long. To the one who’s spent everything and has nothing left to give. To the one who feels unclean, cast aside, and forgotten. You’re not alone. I see you in the Spirit. Trembling. Breathless. Still reaching. The other day, I felt the cool rivers of the Spirit wash over me. It was beautiful. Streams of living water began to revive my soul. And in that moment, I sensed His nearness in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. The Lord reminded me—He is walking among us very closely. There are angels here, dear one. Warrior angels. Revival angels. They are standing guard around the house of the Lord. They have been sent to surround holy ground. And that includes you. Every imp from hell is blocked from entering. They are not welcome where the glory dwells. You are not defenseless. You are not abandoned. You are not unseen. And I sense it this morning. Someone is reaching through the crowd. Through the noise of life. Through the chaos. Through the press of people all around you. You are reaching. I think of her. The woman with the issue of blood. Twelve long years she bled. Twelve years she suffered. And it wasn’t just physical. She endured spiritual isolation. Emotional shame. Relational exile. She was forbidden to touch. Forbidden to belong. But still, she dared. She dared to reach. And when she did, something shifted. One touch of the hem. Just the fringe of His robe. And healing virtue flowed. Oh beloved, have you ever been there? At the end of every option. Bankrupt in every way. Still whispering, “If I can just touch Him…” That whisper is enough. That tremble is enough. That cry in the middle of the night still reaches Him. Because desperation is a holy gift when it leads us to Jesus. Let me say this plainly. He doesn’t just bring breakthrough. He is Breakthrough. He is your Healer. He is your Deliverer. He is the Lifter of your head. He is the One who pulls you from the pit, the storm, the despair. Yes, you may feel weak. But you are still a warrior. You may feel like a victim. But you are more than a conqueror. Reach, dear one. Reach through the voices that tell you you’re too far gone. Reach through the exhaustion. Reach through the doubt. Reach with whatever faith you still have. Even if you’ve prayed a thousand times and haven’t seen your healing yet, keep reaching. Even if your prodigal seems further away than ever, keep reaching. Even if you feel unclean and unwanted, reach. He stops for the one who reaches. Oh Jesus. How beautiful You are! There is only one place in the Gospels where Jesus calls someone “Daughter.” And it happens when she reaches out with trembling hands and touches Him. She was untouchable. But He touched her with His word. He restored her identity. He gave her back her name. And I believe He is doing that for someone right now. He is whispering, “Daughter.” He is whispering, “Son.” You are not what they called you. You are not what the enemy said about you. You are Mine. When you reach for Him, He doesn’t just fix your circumstance. He heals your soul. To the discouraged, reach. To the exhausted, reach. To the one barely holding on, reach. He is not offended by your desperation. He responds to it. Maybe you’ve suffered for years. Maybe you’ve watched others get healed while you’re still waiting. I understand. I’ve been there. I’ve begged God for healing in my own body. And even though it hasn’t come yet, I refuse to stop reaching. My desperation is a gift. It keeps me close to His hem. And I believe with all my heart—I may be part of the grand finale of His healing glory. So hold on to your faith. Shake off the lies of the enemy. Don’t hide. Don’t quit. Don’t let shame keep you from the altar. Get back into His presence. Return to the house of the Lord. Sometimes all it takes is one moment. One touch. And everything can change. Let your hunger burn hotter than your shame. Let your desperation rise higher than your disappointment. Let your cry echo hers. “If only I may touch His robe…” And when you do, you’ll feel it. That surge of virtue. The touch of Heaven. And you’ll hear His voice say: “Daughter. Son. Your faith has made you whole.” With Love, Steve Porter www.morningglorydevo.com Would you enjoy our daily devotion straight to your email? Never miss a devotion again. Steven, in Malachi4:2 we read of a provisional blessing of God and its manifest power which is multigenerational being eternal. The Sun of Righteousness has ARISEN with healing in His wings. See now the word for Wings- (H 3671) KANAPH, wing , edge or corner specifically a wing, a flap, a border of a garment. While on the way to a ruler’s house to resurrect his dead daughter - a kairos special, supernatural timed event- (earth time- chronos.)( Kairos: supernatural or visitational in nature). Ex. Jesus went into a mountain to pray- regular earth time, Lazarus come forth- kairos time, sun stand still in the valley of Ajelon - kairos timed event. She came behind him, unclean by blood. The issue is two fold, one of hemorrhage and one of bloodline: Adamic. Note how the prophetic was involved : For she said within herself - wasn’t heard but THE PROPHET heard her and thus the secrets of her heart were made manifest…if i may (asking permission), touch His garment- kanaph, I shall be whole- declaration because of her personal biblical knowledge of and obedience to what her Rabbi taught her previously concerning Malachi 4:2, to touch the wings, the “kanaph”of His garment, the border, a hemline today. Obedience brings healing. The Knowledge of God,(Jer. 8:23-24), is Word-known in text and Living Word-known in the Presence. Do you not see the intrinsic beauty now of WORD studies? I.E; Hebrew, Greek, the Aramaic: what Jesus, His disciples, and Paul spoke. Love you brother
Amen! 🙏
