TRUTH TELLERS
A Clarion Call to Stand in a World That Hates Truth
“Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16) Dear friend, if there is one thing our world despises today, it is truth. Not everyone, of course…for we who follow Christ know the truth sets us free. Many today reach for half-truths like sugar water. But the living Word? Too strong for them, so they push it aside. Lies are easier. Lies are convenient. Lies soothe itching ears. Truth, however, confronts. It shines a light into hidden corners. It calls sin by name. And for that reason, truth-tellers are not always loved. Often they are mocked, resisted, even hated. Jesus declared, “If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples.” (John 8:31) To “hold to” His Word means more than nodding politely at a sermon or underlining a verse in our Bible. It means clinging, obeying, living as if every word is breath and food. True disciples do not bend truth to fit culture. They bow culture under the weight of truth. The truth doesn’t always win you friends. Sometimes it stirs anger. Sometimes it stirs hate. Paul knew it well when he cried, “Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16). The moment you stand for what is holy, you will make enemies of those who love the shadows. Dear one, this is no time for silence. This is no hour to hide behind soft words or neutral ground. The world is drowning in deception. Only the plumb line of God’s Word will steady the house. Only His truth will set captives free. Do not be afraid to be a truth-teller. Speak in love, yes, but speak. For silence in the face of lies is not compassion…It is betrayal. Christ Himself is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” To withhold truth is to withhold Christ. And though truth may cost you friends, invitations, even comfort…know this: heaven smiles on those who will not compromise. Beloved, stand tall. Speak boldly. Let the world know: truth is not relative. Truth is a Person. His name is Jesus. With Love, Steve Porter www.morningglorydevo.com 🙏🏼 If you’re carrying something heavy… don’t carry it alone.
